The Work
Goldan · 2017–2022
A flowerpot is a domesticated landscape — nature held at arm's length, kept alive on a windowsill. The series takes this modest object and enlarges it until it confronts the viewer at body scale.
Thick strata of acrylic and oil build the vessel while the blooms dissolve into gesture, so the painting oscillates between a still life and a memory of one.
