A flower that blooms only after its own leaves have died, painted at architectural scale across multi-panel canvases. Translucent veils of acrylic are broken by impasto ridges, so longing reads as landscape rather than still life.

Flowerpot Series

Goldan · 2019–2021

A flowerpot is a domesticated landscape, nature kept alive at arm's length on a windowsill. Enlarged to body scale, the vessel hardens into strata while the blooms dissolve into pure gesture.

Bulls Series

Ghav-ha · 2015–2019

The bull of the Iranian village — labour, wealth and sacrifice compressed into a single body. Oil is pushed across cardboard with knife and hand until the pigment behaves like hide.

Figures and fragments that belong to no fixed place, moving between monumental canvas and private ink note. The restrained palette gives each mark the weight of a coordinate on an empty map.

Large square canvases turn the Caspian catch into a single field of movement, silver over ochre. It is an early statement of the artist's ecological concern: abundance painted as it begins to thin.
